"the TARPON CAPITAL OF THE WORLD"

Capt. Dan Cambern

Light Tackle Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico

NO FISH NO PAY GUARANTEE...................it's that simple!

Capt. Dan Cambern started fishing at the age of five when his uncle would take him on fishing trips off the New England coast for Bluefish and Striped Bass.  By the time he was eight years old, his family moved to Nokomis, Florida.  While fishing with his Dad off the beaches, piers, and jetties of Venice, he gained valuable knowledge and experience necessary to catch many species of fish.

Capt. Dan  also learned how to scuba dive at the age of ten.  Soon after, he was diving and spear fishing in the same waters observing fish in their own habitat.  This provided to be an exciting and rewarding advantage by being able to see what the many ledges, reefs, and wrecks looked like and pinpointing where the greatest numbers of fish like to "hangout".  By marking and saving these spots, Capt. Dan has logged in nearly a thousand dives and several hundred loran and G.P.S. numbers, where today, he uses these very same numbers to produce incredible catches of fish for his anglers.

In 1985, after working as a mate on a charter boat and working as a commercial fisherman, he decided to get his U.S.C.G.... Captain's License and now holds a 100 Ton Masters Certificate.

By using his many years of experience and knowledge of our offshore waters, Capt. Dan will put you on his best spots to help you catch Grouper, Snapper,  Amberjack, Cobia, Permit, Barracuda, Sharks, and Goliath Grouper (Jewfish).  Plus many others, such as, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, Bonita's, and Black fin Tuna, when they make their spring and fall runs along our coastlines.

No matter what your angling skills are, this Captain and crew will make your offshore trip an exciting and fun adventure for all.

The Privateer is a fast blue water open fisherman powered by a Yamaha Outboard.  She is equipped with the latest and greatest in electronic navigational and fish locating devices.   She's fast enough to get you to the deep wrecks & ledges where the Giant Grouper live, yet stable enough to make the experience comfortable and safe for everyone.  Porta-Potty equipped.

The Priority is best utilized for anglers wishing to travel way into the deep blue waters of The Gulf of Mexico, in search of truly Big Grouper, Giant Amberjack and Pelagics (Tuna, Dolphin, Sailfish and Wahoo).  Although she's not quite as fast as the Privateer, she'll tame the roughest of seas making those long distant runs very comfortable and safe for all aboard.  The Priority is also equipped with the latest and greatest in electronic navigational and fish locating devices, downriggers, outriggers A/C and a full head (Enclosed).
