Capt. Greg DeVault
has been fishing the waters around
Tampa Bay, Tarpon Springs and New Port Richey for the past 20 years. He has
an extensive knowledge of the area, and it’s many rivers and saltwater
estuaries. Capt. Greg works hard to make sure every trip is more than just a
fishing trip; it’s an angling adventure!
You'll will fish for Snook along mangrove lined
islands or in one of our many rivers. These fish are known for there drag
melting runs and awesome aerial displays. Redfish also inhabit these very
same waters. Redfish are referred to as "Central Florida Bonefish" because of their long
powerful runs that do not quit until the equipment and angler have been
tested to the max. We also have acres and acres of beautiful turtle grass
flats that are teaming with many species of fish such as Speckled Sea Trout,
Flounder, Juvenile Grouper, and Spanish Mackerel. During the winter months
we also have a large population of Tarpon that love to show off how well
they can fly. These fish can all be caught in a variety of ways, from light
spinning tackle to fly equipment. No matter how you tackle these gamesters
they always exhilarate the angler.

Offshore Charters:
Capt. Greg also runs charters in the Gulf of Mexico. Fish the reefs,
wrecks and open Gulf for Shark, Barracuda, Amberjack, Kingfish, Little
Tunny, Permit, Cobia, Grouper and Snapper. Unlike many offshore Guides
who run "Offshore Only Boats"; if the Gulf is uncomfortably rough,
Capt. Greg can salvage the day by targeting Snook, Trout, Redfish, Tarpon
and Jack Crevalle in protected waters. One of the many advantages of
running a "Bay" style boat.

Boat:
Capt.
Greg is sponsored by Ranger Boats and runs a 23' Ranger Bay Ranger.
Called the “Ultimate Bay Boat”, the 2300 Bay Ranger has quickly become one
of the most sought after "Multi-Purpose" boats in the Guide Industry.
She will safely and comfortably carry and fish up to four anglers for the
Hot Kingfish & Little Tunny Bite in the morning, and quietly maneuver
through the shallow flats in search of Redfish, Snook & Tarpon in the
afternoon. With her low profile design, the Carolina-style bow flare
and extra wide 8' 4 1/2" beam, she delivers more comfort, less wind
resistance, and an extremely dry ride. The large, unobstructed casting decks
are ideal for fly-fishing and the oversized gunnels deliver a 360° fishing
platform.
For the serious shallow
water fly-fisherman and sight caster, Capt. Greg also
operates a 16'
9" Ranger "Ghost" Flats Boat, which will float in just inches of
water. Capt. Greg will only take a maximum of two
anglers for Serious
Shallow-water Fly and Sightcasting Charters.
